Flower Pot Card

I have seen these adorable cards around for a while now and always wanted to try making one. This one has been sitting in pieces on my craft desk for a few months and last night I finally got it put together!

The flower pot is constructed with a piece of kraft cardstock the measures 11” x 4 ½” and is scored at 4 ½” and 9”. When it’s all folded it will measure 4 ½” high, 4 ½” wide at the top and about 3 5/8” wide as the base. The inside base of the card measures 6 ¼” x 3 ½” and the ivory card measures 6” x 3 ¼”.

To make the flowers and leaves I used the following punches (sorry for the blurry pic) with Pure Luxury layering weight ivory cardstock and colored the blossoms and leaves with copic markers in Y11, Y15, Y17, & G03, G09.

Here’s a close-up of the flowers. I don’t know if you can see it or not, but after shaping the leaves I added some veining with a small stylist.

The finished card fits perfectly into an A7 envelope which is 5 ¼” x 7 ¼”. Depending on the size of your blossoms that you are using, I would suggest making sure you have the envelope on hand before you start arranging the gluing down the flowers, just to make sure it’s going to fit.
