Here is one of two identical cards I created this past week, and sadly there were recipients in mind when they were made. The stamps are both new, purchased about 3 weeks ago at the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Loveland, Colorado, from B & J’s Art Stamps. They are located in Las Cruces, New Mexico but have a web site (You can find them here – B & J’s Art Stamps) with all of their amazing stamps.
The cardstock is the heavy base weight Ivory cardstock from Gina K. Designs. To add a little bit of interest to the card I used my nestabilities die to emboss (but not cut) the oval around the rose stamp. The rose was then filled in with yellow and green colored pencils before using baby oil and a blending stump to smooth out the color. I did a little bit of shading with a darker yellow on the petals and green on the leaves, which you can see that a bit better in the close-up.
