This past Thursday was StampTV’s April release party for their new stamp set. Wow, if I had a whole lot of extra money, I’d purchase each new set, they are all so amazing! During the release party, they offer challenges, contest questions, and the full stamp set previews with cards made by the design team.
This month the sketch challenge hostess was Theresa Momber. Her card sketch can also be used as a scrapbook page, which makes it a extra special treasure in anyone’s sketch file.
Here is her card sketch:
In addition, here’s the sketch as a scrapbook page:.
My first glance at this sketch had “Mother’s Day Card” floating through my head. I looked through my design paper trying to find something that matched the idea I had, and found some old Anna Griffin paper. The stamp is from Theresa’s Sending Sunshine set, and the “Mom” is an alphabet set that has been floating around my scrap room for year. (I’m not too pleased with how “Mom” turned out, so I’ll be looking for a new alphabet set soon.)
Here is my card. I used my Martha Stewart markers in Evergreen and Hyacinth to color the image. “Mom” was stamped with Rich Cocoa Memento ink, and the brown satin ribbon matches the brown mats used on the card.
And here is another card I made with the same sketch/papers/design for my mother-in-law:
